UCD3138: UCD3138 USB-TO-GPIO

HI  team: 

    Ti burner that the customer purchased has the following abnormal problems: 

    1.  The burning time difference , eg,  some one needs about 10s, but  some one  needs  about 18s.

    2.  It  is easy to crash,  and  restart the software, it will be normal.

    3.  it may damage the UCD3138 board.

    Just to confirm, you are having issues with USB-TO-GPIO adapter and noticing this behavior while downloading is that right?  Can you confirm what version of the adapter you have?

    If you have downloaded Fusion Studio there are some additional tools that are included - specifically: USB Adapter Firmware Download

    If you open this tool it will tell you the current firmware on the adapter.  Upgrade your adapter to 1.0.14 and see if the issues continue.

    Recently, the newly bought adapter is very easy to crash, programming more than ten or twenty devices began to crash once, restart the software and normal programming.

    Often in the following item on the software automatically quit or error, error report see the attachment.

    3.Compared with the adapters purchased on the website for a long time, there are two different versions. Please check the differences marked on the PCB board. Will this affect the use of the product?

  • Johnsin, I have never heard of adapters being destroyed.  I suspect there may be some kind of voltage difference or excess between the target board and the PC, and this is causing the boards to be damaged.  Have you looked at the ground difference between the PC and the target board?

    Is the target board being powered by the adapter board or by something else?

    Are the pull up resistors on the target board tied to 3.3 volts?
