LP8864-Q1: How to set the dimming mode

Hi team,

If my customer wants to control the brightness through the I2C interface, then how do they should set the register and the resistance?

In my opinion, we should set the resistor connected to MODE pin as 5.76k or 43.3k and at the same time set the MODE-SEL and BRT-MODE and some other related register.

And I am new to the LED driver and could u please have a check?

Hi, Zoey,

It's ok to set MODE pin as 5.76k or 43.3k. MODE_SEL is read only and it depends on Mode PIN connection. The customer could refer to LP8864evm for setting.

Also, there is LP8866EVM GUI software which can be download from TI website for easier design.
