LM3429-Q1: Automotive IC

Part Number: LM3429-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3429,

Is there any difference in the design or assembly line between the ICs LM3429-Q1 and LM3429 (non-automotive)?

Both PNs have the same datasheet. Is the difference just the AEC qualification?

We are evaluating to use the IC LM3429 for automotive application due to the shortage of the IC LM3429-Q1. I would like to know more information about that.

  • Hi

The main difference is AEC qualification, but there can also be other differences in special automotive audit requirements for the factories, testing etc. The decision to use a non-automotive device in an automotive application will be at your own risk.
