LMG3410-HB-EVM: Board Voltage Range

Part Number: LMG3410-HB-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG34XX-BB-EVM

Dears,

We need to know what is the minimum Voltage required for "LMG3410-HB-EVM" daughter card to function properly
we couldn't find any related information about the minimum voltage only the maximum voltage is available 480V  & absolute maximum 600V

thanks

  • Hi Ahmed,

Thanks for your question - the LMG3410-HB-EVM is a half-bridge that is intended to be evaluated with the topology of your choice. This topology is also known as the mother board or breakout board. When using the LMG34XX-BB-EVM Breakout Board (buck topology), the user's guide suggests that the user start with a bus voltage of 480 V to ensure that the abs. max rating of 600 V is not exceeded in the high-side or low-side FETs.

With this being said, there is no minimum bus voltage to operate the LMG3410-HB-EVM; this voltage is set by the parameters that the user has decided for evaluation. As long as the 12 V and 5 V bias voltages are provided, the half-bridge EVM will operate in its surrounding topology. The user must take the proper precautions to ensure that the voltage on the high-side and low-side FETs does not exceed 600 V.

    Best Regards,

    John
