BQ24104: TVS diode to suppress noise

Part Number: BQ24104

Hi,

A diode (MMBZ18VALT1) has been added from the revision of Revision G to H in the data sheet.

1. Is there any problem if I don't insert the diode? There is a statement in bq24104 that it is not necessary.

2. ON Semiconductor's MMBZ18VALT1 has a status of EOL. Please let me know if there are any other applicable diodes.

You're right. However, in the past E2E, My customer was recommended to insert a diode.

I understand that it is recommended to insert a TVS diode. (Not required)
As mentioned above, is there any other diode recommended as TI because MMBZ18VALT1 is EOL?
