Part Number: ISO5852S-Q1

We are developing a 10kW integrated inverter for high speed (130k RPM) air blowers to provide process air for automotive fuel cell applications.  Our blower is unique in that the rotating assembly is supported by gas foil bearings, eliminating contamination associated with petroleum based lubricants.  We have blowers that operate over a wide temperature range from a cryogenic environment as well as 1000⁰ F solid oxide cathode air environment. This inverter will be our first using SiC MOSFET devices.  During circuit development several problems soon became evident. The enclosed Word document provides a brief outline of the problems uncovered in our development effort. Please provide comments.

Thanks, Merrill
