TPS61160: Max operation current for TPS61160

Regarding the max operation current, there isn't a general max current spec. Once the input voltage, output voltage, inductor value are settled, we can calculate the max output current by Equation 3 and 4.  This means in the brightness control by external PWM or digital method, the operation current will not exceed this value.

Our customer application is Vin 6~9V /Vout =20V /Iout is around 500mA.

From the below description. The TPS61161 can't reach our requirements

Please give us the other option for our application.

    Can I ask about the application scenario？ How many channels are needed? the 500mA is for one channel?

1.This project is lighting application.

2. 1 Ch [ 8S/28 P ]

3.Yes .500mA for 1 CH .

   2 CH for 500mA is ok to our customer.

      I assume this is for backlight application, not for illumination? 

     Right now, for backlight products, one option is to use the IC with 200mA per channel, 6 channels. Connect 3 channels to cover 500mA requirement. 

     I need to double check if this is possible to operate in this way and then get back to you ASAP.
