Hello, team.
Can BQ29330 device be used to handle 3 or4 LiFePO4 batteries?

Hi Slava,
Yes, it could. Note the specifications in the BQ29330 data sheet Electrical Characteristics "CELL VOLTAGE MONITOR" section. The output for monitoring cells is analog with a negative gain slope and rather limited range. The BQ29330 is an old part and relatively expensive.
HI, thank you for fast reply.
What the device would you suggest to use instead of BQ29330 for LiFePO4?
Hi Slava,
The BQ76925 is an analog output part which will support down to 3 cells. BQ76920 will support down to 3 cells, it has digital outputs, accuracy has a wide tolerance at low voltages. BQ76942 will support down to 3 cells and has better accuracy. All these have budgetary prices lower than BQ29330. Like most semiconductors right now demand is high and stock may be depleted.
With 3 LiFePO4 cells check how far you will be pulling the cells down to check the parts for POR level when making a component selection.
