BQ24061: Schematic and Test result review

Part Number: BQ24061

Hello Expert,

This application is Gas Detector.

Gas Detector has to protect explosion internally.

So they have to use diode or FET to protect reverse voltage from batter to charger Pin10(Out) when there is no power to charger IC.

Is there any problem if they use it like a customer's schematic?

Could you please check and reply your opinion to me?

Do you know what's the root cause of this symptom when they use diode or FET?

Charging of Customer b'd is working well.

Charge current is 507mA.

But, there is charging current (CC mode) more than setting value of charge current when diode or FET is applied to between Pin10(Out) and Batt.

Over current is about 60mA.

For your information, there is no this symptom when diode or FET is not applied to between Pin10(Out) and Batt.

Below is schematic and test graph.

Best Regards,

Michael
