Hello,

Can you confirm the cathode current requirement (IKA) at VKA > VREF working condition? Is this 1mA? Also provides the calculation for finding Vref for this application

Hi Renan,

The min IKA current for proper operation on the TL431LI is 1mA. The typical REF current (IREF) that goes into the REF pin is 200nA. Therefore, the total current that needs to flow from the input is 1mA + 200nA.
