Yes, you can configure the BQ25120A as a standalone device by configuring the current limit, fast charge current and termination current. To do so you will need to select the appropriate resistors for the ILIM, ISET and IPRETERM inputs based on your applications need. Additionality, you can also use the BQ25120A as a I2C controlled device by modifying the different control registers via the I2C bus.
