LM1117: Newer option to LM1117

Hello, I am trying to design in an LDO with the following specs:

Vin =7.8V, Vout = 6.5V, Iout = 0.6A. 

What options can you suggest? I see that LM1117 can be an option but do you have any newer, more recent ICs that can handle these specs? I am restricted to using an LDO in my application and we want to use newer or more recent silicon than LM1117 if possible.
