CSD17581Q3A: Searching TI solution

Part Number: CSD17581Q3A

Hi Team,

There is a good new that we could DIN TI product!

Customer is looking for the replacement of NVTFS4C05NWFTAG

https://www.mouser.tw/ProductDetail/onsemi/NVTFS4C05NWFTAG?qs=dbuNSGnowt3lDgRin7mjcg==

Please help suggest TI solution, THX

CSD17581Q3AT is ok?

  • Hi Kygo,

Thanks for promoting TI FETs at your customer. The CSD17581Q3A looks like our closest cross the the NVTFS4C05NWFTAG. On resistance is pretty similar. TI is slightly higher at VGS = 10V (3.8mΩ vs. 3.6mΩ max) and lower at VGS = 4.5V (4.7mΩ vs. 5.1mΩ max). TI gate charge is higher at VGS = 4.5V (20nC vs. 14.5nC typical). I need to confirm that the TI FET will work OK on the On PCB footprint with our SMT expert. I'll follow up with you via regular email after I get this information.

    Best Regards,

    John Wallace

    TI FET Applications

  • Hi Kygo,

I wanted to point out that the competitor's FET is automotive qualified. The CSD17581Q3A is NOT automotive qualified and there are no plans to qualify it to automotive standards.

    Thanks,

    John

  • Hi John,

Understand, I will remind the customer that CSD17581Q3A has not passed the automotive qualified and there are no plans to qualify it to automotive standards. THX

  • Hi Kygo,

I received the feedback below and attached from our SMT expert. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

    John

Based on the drawing, it looks like CSD17581Q3A will
fit onto On Semi PCB footprint.

    My concern are :

    1. The PCB thermal pad are slightly smaller,
so there is a little overhang of 0.08mm
      That is insignificant.
    2. The gap between pin 1-4 to thermal is 0.685mm
on the TI package. The gap on the PCB is 0.64mm
So there is a 0.045mm difference.
      I also think this insignificant.

My suggestion is to get one of the On Semi board
to replace with our package and confirm the fitness.

    See attachment for detail analysis.
