BQ20Z95: Life time availability

Part Number: BQ20Z95

Team,

My customer is planning to change a pack manufacturer for Advanced life saving application.

They previously used BQ20z95. Since it is NRND, they asked how long is the availability for the same?

Is it advisable to stick with BQ20Z95 or change it to BQ40Z50? Do we have migration documents?

    Hello Needhu,

    We always recommend updating to the newest gauges because there are many new features and we can provide better support. The BQ40Z50-R4 would be the newest firmware. We don't have direct migration documents because there are many gauges, most of the procedures should be similar to what was done previously. Find the chem ID, perform the learning cycle, setup the dataflash.

    The BQ20Z95 should still be supplied even though it's NRND, as long as there's demand for it.
