Hi there,

Our customer now use LED driver for LCD. The input is battery. the output is 5.8V@150mA. take TPS92611-q1 as example, the Tj=60℃/W, so in worst case Vin=16V, the temp will rise 90℃. One bad effect is that the PCB will get hot around. Now it's a chance to promote TPS92633-Q1. Customer 's concern is whether the temperature of PCB will get lower if we use TPS92633 + resistor. BTW, what's the thermal resistor of the thermal sharing resistor normally?

    I have finished the draft of TPS92633-Q1 thermal Application note and this will publish soon. I will send to you the draft via email.

    The thermal performance is definitely improved a lot with the shunt resistor. 

    The thermal resistor varies with the PCB layout.
