LM5176-Q1: Gate Drive Resistors

Hi Team,

Is it okay to only have gate drive resistors between HDRV and the FET? Or do gate drive resistors always need to be balanced with one added to the H outputs and one added to the L outputs equally?

Hi Jared,

Thank you for posting. Yes you can have a gate resistor just for the high or low side FET. You need to monitor the deadtime between the two MOSFETs experimentally to make sure there is dead time to prevent shoot through.
