TPS62130: Swapping TPS62130 and TPS62150A

Customer is currently using 2 devices for 2 output rails:

1. TPS62130RGTR deliver 1.5V @ 500mA
2. TPS62150AQRGTTQ1 deliver 3.3V @ 450mA

Due to shortage, they want to qualifying either device for either use case. This means swapping them to :

TPS62130RGTR TPS62150AQRGTTQ1 deliver 1.5V @ 500mA
TPS62150AQRGTTQ1 TPS62130RGTR deliver 3.3V @ 450mA

They want to achieve it without changing the passive components on the PCB. (Not even the FB resistors)

Question 1: Can this schematic below supply 1.5V @ 500mA if TPS62150A-Q1 was replaced by TPS62130?

Question 2: Can this schematic below supply 3.3V @ 450mA if TPS62130 was replaced by TPS62150A-Q1?

Hi Eddie,

TPS62150A-Q1 has a different PG logic (PG pin has low impedance during faults) vs high impedance on the TPS62130. The only difference this will lead to in your designs is the shutdown time on PG and VOUT due to different impedances - check configuration 1 on https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva644/slva644.pdf As long as that is acceptable, you can swap the two devices and designs would work fine as is.
