BQ24085: About Resistor of BAT and Capacitor of ISET

Hello Expert,

Our customer will set I(out) 400mA.

So they want to know that they can set R8 from 390ohm to 0ohm, C3 from 0.1uF to Open.

Could you please give your answer to me?

Yes that is fine. You can refer to figure 18 of the datasheet for an example.

Hi Nick,

I have a simple question about operating temperature.

On the BQ24085 data sheet.Tj of Recommended Operating Conditions and Op Temp(℃) of Packaging Information are same spec.

But,

On the BQ2406x data sheet.Tj of Recommended Operating Conditions and Op Temp(℃) of Packaging Information are different spec.

Tj is 0~125(℃) but Op Temp(℃) is -40~85(℃).

Here is my question.

1. Is the Op Temp(℃) of Packaging Information same unit as Tj?

2. What's the right spec. Op Temp(℃) of Packaging Informationon on the BQ2406x?

3. If this difference is not typo, could you please explain it to me?

Hi Michael,

These are different values, you can read this post for more info: e2e.ti.com/.../free-air-vs-ambient-temperature
Please go by the values on page 2. The packaging information value does appear to be a typo. Thanks for pointing this out.
