BQ78PL116: Battery Pack FCC Goes Up to 65535mAH

Thank you for your reply, truly appreciated.

In this case, how could I recover the FCC reading? It was irrationally going up approximately 20 times (65535mAH) from the design FCC was uploaded 2600mAH.

 Any relevant information I could get from the datasheet or manual regarding this error?

Hello Ben,

Since this is an older device we can only offer limited support. Because the FCC is maxing out the register I'm not sure if it's related to the algorithm compared to an error, I would recommend re-flashing the firmware with your settings. Is this happening with only one pack or multiple packs? Can you share your configuration file?

Hello Ben,

How did you select the chem ID to be programmed? The Qmax is updated based on the chemistry ID, so if the ID doesn;t match your batteries you can get bad Qmax updates.

The chem ID and all the parameter already predefine during development time, and only 1 type of cell applied to this pack. In the pass 5 years we did not see this issue, just recently found 11 units were having abnormal FCC.

About the Chem ID, any sheet can I refer to?
