TLC6983: Common Anode equivalent avail?

The TLC698 is a very nice device.

But I wonder why it is common cathode? Most RGB LEDs on the market are common anode.

So my question is, is there a 16x16 RGB LED Matrix solution for common anode RGB LEDs?

Hi Christopher,

The Common cathode can support separate VLED supply for R/G/B which can reduce the power dissipation.

and the sharing of common cathode LED is increasing with the development of narrow pixel pitch display.

we have another device LP5860 which can drive 11*6 RGB LED matrix.

thanks for your answer. I cannot find any 1x1mm or 1,6x1,6mm LEDs with common cathode on any distributor.

Could you provide MPN for appropriate common cathode RGB LED please?

Finally found one: B3SK3RGB-F6C0001HOU1930

Most distributors (at least in Germany) do not offer filter for common anode or common cathode in their sortiment... this makes it hard to find these diodes at least at the moment. Digikey is able to filter for comm cathode.
