Do you mean you can't change output voltage on the fly through GUI?

I mean when we change the voltage, we should active warm start not  cold start. I'm not sure the situation is normal.

Do you mean if you only do the cold start, the output voltage won't be changed?

Sorry about that confusing statement. I mean when we do cold start the voltage can change completely but warm start can't.

Could you list the procedure you did step by step then it can help me understand what exactly problem you encounter.

We change voltage by Fusion Design and click "write to hardware" and "store config to NVM" but the voltage didn't change.

we need to cut off the power and restart the power that the voltage can change to the new value.

I want to know this is the normal situation that we need to cut off the power and restart it.

No, it's not normal. You are supposed to change the output voltage on-the-fly not need to turn off power and re-boot.

And once you re-boot, the output voltage would be changed to Vboot setting not the VOUT_COMMAND you set previously.

But on our PCB board need to turn off power and re-boot for this operation.

That I want to certain this IC feature with its application.

Sure, I can modify it by Fusion Design but the output voltage on the PCB board didn't change until restart.

If so, that should be abnormal.

Which register you were modifying? VBOOT or VOUT_COMMAND?

VBOOT is used to set boot voltage only. If you would like to change the output voltage on-the-fly, you need to modify VOUT_COMMAND.

But output voltage wouldn't keep at VOUT_COMMAND but would change back to VBOOT once you re-power on the system. Unless you make the VBOOT & VOUT_COMMAND the same.

MFR_SPECIFIC_04 & Read_Vout didn't change until restart power.

It sounds abnormal. The real output can be changed but the Read_Vout keep the same value? Is that what you mean?

If so, do you also check the monitor tab to see if the output voltage would be changable?

Otherwise, which version of your GUI is? Not sure if caused by GUI version.

If yes, then the real output voltage mismatch with Read_Vout. It's still abnormal to me.

Could you try to select PMBus to control output and check again? Since you change output through PMBus.

It's abnormal for sure that you can't change output voltage on-the-fly.
