LM25118: RE : Submission for Design Review

Design Requirements:

Input Voltage Range: 9V - 36V

Output Voltage: 28V

Output Current: 2.8A

Max Allowable Voltage Ripple(peak to peak): 100mV

Find the attachment below that contains the design file for the above requirement submitted for the TI review and share the comment for the same

    Hi Jayakrishnak,

    the schematic looks good but please double check the rating of the output caps. When using ceramic or MLCC there is a DC bias derating where the effective capacitance could be much lower. So the current used capacitance on the output might be too low.

    Also ensure the RMS and Saturation current of the inductor are dimensioned well.
