UCC256404: DC/DC converter for auxiliary power applications

Part Number: UCC256404
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC256304

Hello TI Team,

We are designing an isolated DC/DC converter with wide input range (64-166 V) and 24 V (300 W) output for railway auxiliary power applications (required to comply with EN50155 standard). In WEBENCH suggested designs are implemented using UCC256404 and/or UCC256304. I was wondering are these controllers meet the requirements for the railway application? I came across with one commercial product for this applications composed of a buck converter (for regulation) followed by an unregulated forward converter (for isolation) and I'm eager to know if I can use the suggested LLC topology in WEBENCH instead of tested commercial two stage topology?

Thank you in advance and happy new year!
