UCD3138A: UCD3XXX Device GUI Firmware Download without Device ID

Hi,

I'm preparing custom BL for UCD3138A and I saw that in order to flash it from ROM using PMBUS and UCD3XXX Device GUI I need to keep Device ID "UCD3100ISO1|0.0.11.0105|141009" @0x00007F58. Is there a way to download FW using device GUI without this device ID or is it mandatory?

There is a special password to do it with, and if you really want it, I can send it to you with a personal message, but I strongly encourage you not to use it. We have a customer right now who either overrode it or used a different downloader, and they have several hundred parts that are probably only useful as bad jewelry. It's very trivial to leave the device ID in there. Even though right now you are only using a single device type. Especially during this time of supply chain difficulties.
