LM2840: Can LM2840 be used as an alternative for LM2841?

Part Number: LM2840
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2841, , LMR14203

Hello team,

My customer is considering use LM2840 as an alternative for LM2841 due to the current situation.

In this, we should check two points. Can you give me your thought?

  1. "Switch current limit" ICL is not difference between LM2840 and LM2841. So can we use LM2850 in case of Iout=300mA?
  2. What is the differences between both ICs? I think the efficiency curves of fig2 and fig3 are so similar.

Best regards,

Shotaro
