Hi Expert,

bq756506 is not recognized by the system so I use BQ75614-Q1 to submit this question. our customer wants to use BQ756506-Q1 in their 12V BMS system. there are 6 channels but they only use 4 channels since there are only 4 batteries. so they want to know if it's possible that they use the 2 unused channels to monitor the whole battery pack.

That may be possible. Please consider the abs max ratings of these pins - especially the VC and CB abs max ratings. I don't see any obvious issue with at 12V system off the top of my head.

Hi Expert,

Foe above topic, Cell1~4 are used for cells monitor.

1）Did VC4 value was read out directly base on GND as a ADC signal? Then to do the calculation with VC3,Voltage_Cell4 _Value =VC4-VC3.

Or use VC4 and VC3 as differential input signals, then get the voltage value of Voltage_Cell4 _Value.

2) Now, I want to get the value for total battery pack(4pcs cells) directly for double checking, can I connect the VC5 to GND and VC6 to Pack Plus Will it some influence of VC5 lower than VC4 voltage? Or I get a minus value of VC4 on VC5?
