UCC27511A: Keeping OUTH Pin in High State

Part Number: UCC27511A

Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who is working with UCC27511A. Please see below his query for you reference. Thank you very much.

It would be possible to keep the OUTH pin of UCC27511A in high state indefinitely?

I am driving a discharge mosfet and I want it to be open as long as my control pin is in High State.

Can I do that using UCC27511A? IN- tied to ground, IN+ is TTL High, OUTH and OUTL tied together.

It seems OK acc. to Table 3 in page 17. Is there any other restrictions that can be caused by internal design of UCC27511A

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi, Ray,

As this is a low-side driver with direct connection to a ground-referenced power supply, this will be fine. Constant on is only an issue when you are talking about a high-side driver.
