TPS23758: VCC series resistor gets extremely hot

Part Number: TPS23758
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS23755,

Hi,

I have a question regarding the TPS23758.

So far I've been using the TPS23755 in combination with a diode rectifier which works fine for me. However, too improve efficiency, I've tried to use the TPS23758 together with the UCC24612-1 as secondary side SR.

Therefore I've replaced the TPS23755 on my PCB and adapted the circuitry according to the schematic as it is implemented on the TPS23758EVM-080. What I observe now is that the VCC series resistor (R54 in my design) gets extremely hot (approx. 120°C). And after a while the TPS23758 died.

Do you have any ideas what is wrong with my design? I'll attach the schematic.

Best regards

Michael
