LM25180-Q1: operation mode and frequency

Hi Expert,

Our customer uses LM25180-q1 for insolated 12V@12V in HV BMS. The max output current is 0.1A. Now they want to which operation mode and frequency it work at. I have a few questions about this.

1. how much is the rated output power? 7W?

2. do you have an exact number of % of the division between FFM and DCM?

3.How is the EMC performance of these three mode? Which one is the best?

Hi Elec:

1. for power raing and % of the division between FFM and DCM, pls check the cacultion tools because it is related to turn ratio.

2. for EMI , pls refer LM5180 EMI performance, it is not only related to the work mode, but more related to the loading, turn ratio especailly tranformer design

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for clarifying. Have you ever perform EMC test with different output current on the same board? When the output current decreases or increase, LM25180-Q1 works under different mode and frequency.

we don't test different load condition, normally full load will be worse case due to largest primary peak curret
