LMZM23600: Is there any leak current from VIN to VOUT when EN terminal is 0V?

Part Number: LMZM23600

Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating LMZM23600SIL(adjustable version) to generate 3.3V from 24V Vin.

They use 27kohm and 62kohm as the feedback resistors. Also PGGOD terminal is open, MODE/SYNC terminal is connected to GND and all DNC terminals are floated.

They found LMZM23600 VOUT voltage was about 1V with no load (VOUT was not connected to any device) when EN terminal voltage was 0V.

They checked 5 boards and confirmed same phenomenon were happened.

At this moment, they have the following question. Could you please give me your reply for them?

Q.  Is there any leak current from VIN to VOUT when EN terminal is 0V?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Kazuya.

  • Hello,

There is no leakage current that would explain this.

Please check if there are other leakage paths in the system that could provide some prebias to VOUT.

Also, please provide scope shots showing VIN, EN, VOUT and what happens when EN transitions from 0V to logic HIGH.

    Thanks,

    Denislav

  • Hello Denislav,

Thank you very much for your reply and kind words.

As you said, there was other leakage path in the load side connected to LMZM23600 VOUT.

The customer is looking for the leakage point.

Thank you again and best regards,

    Kazuya.
