Dear TI expert,

Is there any protection in battery cell side of BQ40z50 EVM to avoid damage of circuit components due to  reverse polarity of battery connection. Else what will happen to the evaluation module after this reverse battery polarity connection.

    Hi Muhammed Rafi C K,

    There is no protection for a reverse polarity battery connection; only protection for reverse charge connection. In theory the software protections on the gauge would trigger; however, there is a good chance the gauge would be damaged.
