TLC6C5712-Q1: Lowest power condition

Part Number: TLC6C5712-Q1

Hi team,

I would like to minimize standby power of this device.

I don't think there is any low power mode of operation in this device, correct?

The lowest power consumption can be achieved by disabling all the channel by [CH_ON_MASKx] bit to Low?

In that case, total supply current is 2.5mA(min), 4mA(max), correct?

Could you advise the lowest power mode and how to calculate the total supply current for that condition?

regards,

  • Hi, Tsuji-son

    1) you can achieved by disabling all the channel or let PWM pin HIGH

    2) if you supply is  3.3V, correct

3)As you said, all channel off is the lowest power mode. please refer to the datasheet

  • Hi Wu,

How much is the total leakage current other than Vcc current?

    I see

SENSE pin leakage 10uA  -- Can it be lower if VIN=3.3V?

    ERR pin leakage -- 3uA

    IOUTx leakage -- 0.5uA / ch if DIS_OFF_FAULT_DIAG

It is also described that [DIS_OFF_FAULT_DIAG] bit during the channel disabled state will allow no current.

If DIS_OFF_FAULT_DIAG is not set, how much current increase from IOUT?

    regards,

  • Hi,

1)How much is the total leakage current other than Vcc current?

you can sum the leakage current  of all channel.

    2) SENSE pin leakage 10uA  -- Can it be lower if VIN=3.3V?

Yes, it will be lower if VIN=3.3V

3)If DIS_OFF_FAULT_DIAG is not set, how much current increase from IOUT?

The current is very small compared with SENSE or other Pin, it is in nA unit.
