Dear Team,
It seems that HVDCP mode only works with QuickCharge 2.0 or 3.0 power-adapters. As per web-research QuickCharge requires a license. So, does BQ25792-HVDCP mode enabled for QuickCharge require a license?

Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Regarding QC3.0, the charger requires host software to control the D+/D- voltage levels and so is not, by itself, QC3.0 compliant and does not require a license.
Regarding QC2.0, the charger can communicate but is not 100% compatible with all HVDCP adapters, which includes some QC2.0 adapters, so it does not have a license.

Jeff
