TPS53015: About the diode in evaluation modules

My customer has the questions as follow:

There's an D1 BAT54XV2T1 in TPS53015EVM-126.
According to the follow post, I know that it clamps the negative voltage on the SW pin and it's best not to be removed.

In addition to TPS53015, we also discussed the circuits using TPS51215A and TPS51916.
However, in the circuit diagrams of the user's Guide (sluuc 79, slu526) of the evaluation modules of TPS51215A and TPS51916,
the diode equivalent to D1 of TPS53015 can not be found.
Why?

Hi Yuki,

The TPS53015 has a SW node minimum voltage of -1V. The TPS51215A and TPS51916 both have a minimum rating of -5V at the SW node. Due to this lower rating of the minimum SW node voltage with the TPS53015, a diode clamp is recommended. In the case of the TPS51215A and TPS51916, there is much more margin in the design for SW node undershoot and a diode clamp is not necessary in that case.
