TPS562208: Compatible IC for substition of out of stock parts

Part Number: TPS562208

Hello everyone and thanks in advance.

As many companies are surely affected by chip scarcity, my company's design is also suffering from it.

We have found many alternate parts for the majority of out of stock parts.

However we are stuck in the power IC. The layout is tuned to a specific output and input voltage, and there are not so many options to choose from.

We defined the TPS562208DDCT as the P/N, but being out of stock, I need to find replacements.

I have reviewed much of TI buck converters but I feel like there's a faster way to check all possible parts.

This is the layout. The two resistances mean that the output voltage will be 3,3V.

I found that i can use:

TPS562201DDCR
TPS562201DDCT
TPS562208DDCR
TPS562208DDCT
TPS565201DDCR
TPS565201DDCT
TPS565208DDCR
TPS565208DDCT

I can only change the BOM file. The PCBs are already printed. This means I must use 6 pin SOT-23 package. I could change the value of the passive components if needed.

How can I have a full list of all similar ICs?

Is there any explanation to the P/N numbers, or what do they mean?

For the moment I have guessed that the 3th number is the rated current; and the 6th number differentiates between IC with or without ecomode.

I have made a long question but I think I already exposed my point.

Any feedback or help will be appreciated.

Let's hope the chip shorateg does not last for long.

Kind regards, Ignasi S.
