LM4030: NC Internal Connection

Part Number: LM4030

Hi Team,

Do the NC pins (pins 1 and 2) of LM4030 have internal connection or in any way connected to ground/NC pin (pin 2)? Or are they completely open from each other?

Kind Regards,

Jejomar

  • Hi Jejomar,

I think, NC pins are not internally connected based on what the datasheet shows. However, one way to check if there's any internal connection between pins is to use a multimeter and short test them.

  • Hi Tony,

Thanks for looking into this. The functional diagram of the device indeed doesn't show any connection but it is unclear if the NC pin(s) are internally tied to ground, with each other or completely open. Unfortunately, us and the customer do not have a part to make the actual measurements on.

Can you help us verify and confirm the internal connections? We'd really appreciate it.

    Kind Regards,

    Jejomar

  • Hi Jejomar,

Pin 1/3 should be floating if not in use because there is internal connection so its not a true no internal connection. Pin 2 is connected to the substrate so it can be connected to GND or left floating.
