UC2525A: UC2525A Application Questions

Part Number: UC2525A

Hi Teams

Customer have few questions about UC2525A and have listed below:

  1. What's the major functionality of PIN3 SYNC? When we need such pin?
  2. What's the relationship between Oscillator frequency and switching frequecny?
  3. How to calulate the resistor value represent our needed deadtime?
  4. What's the relationship between the voltage on the pin 9 and duty cycle?
  • Hi

For Q1: SYNC pin is synchronized to an external system clock. If customer have no need, you can leave this pin floating.

For Q2: Oscillator frequency is twice switching frequency. This ratio is not referred in datasheet.

For Q3: This resistor value is usually dozens to hundreds ohm. You can adjust the resistor and test the real dead time in scope.

For Q4: Compensator pin is the output voltage of EA. This pin will determine the duty cycle and influence the power stage output. The negative feedback is achieved automatically by feedback loop.
