CSD25310Q2: CSD25310Q2T - MOSFET Turn on and off challenges through MCU.

Part Number: CSD25310Q2

Dear TI Team

We have used CSD25310Q2T MOSFET to cut the power rail (3.3V) of the BG95 module using MCU. we are using ESP32 MCU GPIO (BG95_TRG)  to switch the MOSFET on and off.

In this case, BG95 is turned off is working properly but when we turn it on again, our MCU will restart. what should be the possible solution here.

Here I attached an image of the circuit that we have made.

  • Hi Amil,

Thanks for the inquiry. I would recommend monitoring VCC_3V3 during turn-on of the FET to see if the inrush current to charge the large capacitance on VCC_BG95_3V3 is causing it to drop low enough to reset your MCU. You may have to slow down turn on of the FET by adding a gate resistor and/or gate-to-source capacitor. You should also capture the BG95_TRG to see how fast the gate voltage is being driven low. Feel free to share any waveforms that you capture.

    Best Regards,
