TPS62840: Selection of R2D R-set resistors.

Dear TI,

We are Planning to use new TPS62840 IC in our Device. After going through the Datasheet we observed that it requires R2D resistor for it. which is of E96Values. Our DC-DC should give 2.5V Output from it. We couldn't get the E96 valued resistors on big Electronics websites. can you please help us to know where can we purchase the Resistors.

Hi Vinayak,

E96 resistors are available online for purchase. Depending on your region, you can buy them from any distributors like Mouser, Arrow or so.

I searched as E96 registers on Mouser/ Digi key from India and I could not find any values.

Hi Vinayak,

If it is not available, then you can also choose other resistors with lowest tolerance values. If the resistors used have higher tolerances, then this needs to be accounted for while calculating the Vout accuracy.

So we will check the resistors with low Tolerance. will the package size affects output ?

0402 or 0603 should be fine.
