UCC28632: DC Input Calculations

Part Number: UCC28632
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28630

Hi Team,

I want to use UCC28632 for startup circuit with 270 VDC. Since its calculations are complex, I tried to use its calculation excel. (UCC28630 Excel Design Calculator (Rev. D))

In this calculation sheet, there is no DC input option. We have to set line voltage frequency and it affects minimum bulk voltage value, sense resistor etc. But I think in DC input case, calculation of bulk voltage should be different and there is no DC input option as I said.

What is your suggestion in this case?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

  • Hi, Cemil:

Thanks for asking. As you mentioned, yes, it is different.

As DC input, the min. bulk voltage is equal to min. input voltage which can support a steady output.

    Regards,

    Wesley

  • Hi Wesley,

    Thanks for the answer.

I will calculate parameters manually as you said.

But in the excel sheet there should be DC input option I think, or we should be able to overwrite "min bulk voltage" cell (in this version we cannot).

Maybe you can update the excel sheet.

    Kind regards.
