TPS63000: Iq current is very high

Hi,

for consumption when EN is pulled to GND, i think it is caused by the leakage of some component of input. could you help to check the leakage current of C5?

for 4mA consuption without load, did you test with a multimeter when output is build up already?

I checked C5 current and it is showing 1uA every time.

yes I am using multimeter but 4mA current is for every time not only at starting. ( U2 is disconnected to any load , only o/p capacitor are available and 3V battery supply at VIN)

My apologize, for PS/SYNC pin connected to VINA with a 1M resister. devise work in FPWM mode. so, consumption will be higher than quiescent current. that is make sense you will get a 4mA input current without any load.you can try to connect this pin to GND, and i think you will get a much smaller input current.

could you share me the part number of C5, i think the leakage current should be much higher than 1uA. or could you help to check if there is any path will sink a  current 100uA almost?

seems i can not find any info about leakage current of this cap, could you share me a link?

i double check the current when EN is pulled down, it is in the range of spec. is it possible you can have a test with chip only?
