TL3842: Constant current regulation

Hi,

We want to regulate the current through a solenoid coil.

We are planning to connect the voltage across the current sense resistor (connected in series to the solenoid coil and switch) to the Vfb pin to achieve this. Would this work?

Also the Isense pin shall be used to turn on and off the PWM.

Hi Jerry,

Our application is to drive constant current into a solenoid coil.

The voltage across the sense resistor is planned to be connected to the feedback pin for achieving current regulation.

If you use buck topology, may you need to use CT to sense the inductor current,
