Hello,
BQ40z50 will update qmax under relax. What parameters will be updated in the relax mode of the BQ4050, which will cause the SOC to change?

    Hello Jingming,

    The impedance track algorithm uses the chem ID to compare the relaxed voltage to a DOD point to find the SOC. If it gets 2 DOD updates far enough apart it will update Qmax to continue to adjust the SOH and SOC for aging.

    The CEDV algorithm updates the FCC when there's a qualified discharge (almost the full capacity with very little self discharge) to keep calculate SOH and keep SOC accurate for aging. The CEDV is not as advanced as impedance track, it is a more basic algorithm based on coulomb counting. The gauge will use the self discharge rate while there is no current flowing to estimate the SOC over long periods without a discharge or charge.
