TPS54340: Question about the Short Circuit Protection

Part Number: TPS54340
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54360, LMR36520

Hi,

We are using TPS54360 and our application is Vin:60V and Vout:5V/2A. We have a question about the short circuit protection.

When we triggered short circuit protection, the device would limit the output current to 4A and the temperature would increase to over 100 degC. The heat will be bad for the battery cells.

Is there a way to turn of the output current instead of limiting the output current once the short circuit protection is triggered? Thanks.
