BQ24072: Differences between BQ24072TRGT and BQ24072RGT

Part Number: BQ24072

We are considering using the BQ24072RGT as a substitute for the BQ24072TRGT. Upon examination of the spec sheet, it would appear that these parts are nearly identical. The  only difference appears to be that one is designed for a current driven temp sensor and the other for a voltage driven temp sensor. Are there other differences we should be aware of that we need to consider in order to verify in our application?

  • Hi,

This is correct. The BQ24072TRGT has voltage driven temp sense while the BQ24072RGT is current driven. For further info on this topic, the Battery Pack Temperature Monitoring section in each respective part's data sheet has the details and equations that relate to each feature.

    Best Regards,
