TPS62821: Why support100% duty but can't support above 4V output voltage

Hi team,

Customer get one question about TPS62821.

The device get 100% duty cycle support, and Vin is 5.5V; but why the output voltage could only support 4V not 5V? Could you help your comments on this?

Hello Will,

When the device is in 100% mode, still you have to consider the the IR drop on the inductor DCR and and RDSon of the High side FET.

Hello Will,

It looks like that device is only defined up to 4V. Above that, maybe device will not be able to fulfill the electrical characteristics.
