TPS92390: SHUTDOWN state during EN Low

Part Number: TPS92390

Hi Team,

I have three questions about TPS92390.

Question 1
TPS92390/ 7.6.1.11 FSM_DIAGNOSTICS Register bit[4:0] describes current state of the functional state machine and 11h is SHUTDOWN state.
When TPS92390 is disabled(EN is Low) but VIN is applied, we can read FSM_LIVE_STATUS register?

Question 2
7.4.2 Shutdown describes "When EN is pulled low, boost, power-line FET, and LED outputs are turned off, and the device tries to discharge the boost output for 400 ms. After this, the device is totally turned off".
question here is what is the FSM_LIVE_STATUS from EN L(0ms) to totally turned off(400ms)?
once we pull EN low, FSM_LIVE_STATUS becomes 11h immediately?

Question 3
are there any state that we cannot read register thru I2C? initial state?
if we read register thru I2C at that state, what register data TPS92390 send out?

Regards,
Kai

  • hi Kai

Q1: FSM_LIVE_STATUS register can be read in shutdown mode (EN low, Vin applied)

Q2: Once EN is pulled low, FSM_LIVE_STATUS becomes 11h and from EN L(0ms) to totally turned off(400ms), it keeps the status

       Q3: need further check

    thanks
