BQ40Z80: LED

Part Number: BQ40Z80

1) When using the LED display function with the bq40z80, are there any restrictions or points to be concerned about in the LED specifications?
For example, can SMLEN3BC8T (Blue) and SMLEN3WBC8W (White) be used?

2) The bq40z80 technical reference 9.1.6 LED Blinking Option for State of Charge has the table below, but isn't the operation of "95 to 100%" and "90 to 95%" reversed?

regards,
Kagawa

  • Hello Kagawa,

As long as the LEDs chosen can support the source current that the gauge supplies, which can be configured to different values, to drive the LEDs then it should be fine whatever LED is chosen.

Yes that appears to be a typo for the LED operation, if it is critical for your system please test to confirm.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
