Hi Team,

The battery pack uses the BQ40Z80. The host side wants to read the chip information through SMBUS communication. The customer would like to know whether to know the communication protocol of the BQ40Z80 chip? Or how to do it?

    Hello Annie,

    The bq40z80 implements the Smart Battery specification(SBS). All SBS commands are supported. In addition it has extra commands to read additional information. Details are available in the Technical reference manual(TRM) found on the product page on ti.com
