UCC28019A: Possible error on the calculator

Hi,

I am designing the power stage of a system based on the UCC28019A.

I went over the datasheet and followed the calculator side by side with the datasheet.

Everything was one to one except for Cvins that for some reason didn't match the calculation in the datasheet and my manual calculations (which was exactly as in the datasheet).

Can you check that please and also, possibly share the password for the protected spreadsheet so I can follow the formula?

please fill in the parameter into the attached calculator without password.

I have found the mismatch.

In the datasheet, page 39, the calculation of t_cvins_dischrg = N/(2*F).

In the spreadsheet it is equal to N/F so the factor of 2 is missing.

What is the correct formula? I suspect the one in the datasheet right?

Hi Tomer,

both of them are correct.

Both the datasheet AND the UCC28019A calculator tool formulas are correct!

The problem is that the datasheet equation is based on half-line cycles, while the -019A Calc tool uses full line cycles.

you can refer to the calculator line 312, and you can see that it is line cycles
